Belly fat is the single most challenging problem that most people face as far as overweight challenges are concerned. It is a fact that more than 60 percent of our population is obese and that includes all ages. There are several factors that lead to overweight besides bad food, but we are not going to deal with them all. As a fitness coach and trainer, I believe the solution on how to flatten stomach is easier if we understand how to get rid of belly fat.

So, how do we lose belly fat?

Well, there is not one single perfect method that works for everyone, but there are some weight loss methods that work better than others. Some people have found stomach exercise to be sufficient while others prefer diet. Others have tried surgical procedures and succeeded. However the common method preferred by many is a combination of exercise and diet.

Lose abdominal fat to flatten stomach!

Diet and exercise is probably the most challenging, but has also been proven the most effective method to lose weight especially abdominal fat. To get flat abs you must first lose belly fat, then you can work on building stomach abs. Stomach exercise or abs workouts by themselves will not produce six pack abs, you need way more. One of the main belly fat loss hurdles that face the majority of us is overcoming our minds. In other words, we have to believe that we can actually achieve the goals that we set.

If only we can build some faith in ourselves and be patient then losing abdominal fat will be a breeze. I have to remind my students and athletes everyday that they can do anything that they believe in. Sure enough, I witness them succeed daily. There is no magic about losing belly fat; the magic is in believing in yourself that you can do whatever you set your mind to do. Remember, it is one step at a time if you are going to achieve permanent change. You can lose belly fat quickly using pills and other unhealthy weight loss methods, but it will only be temporary.

However for those of us who just want to get six pack abs or ideas to flatten stomach, there are great resources that I have used with my students and athletes and they work perfectly.
